TOUR OF ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL - WEDNESDAY 28TH MARCH 2012
Again in keeping with the Master’s theme of links with the City of London there will be a conducted tour of St. Paul’s Cathedral followed by a stand up luncheon buffet in the room above Temple Bar. The details are
10.45 meet inside St. Paul’s Cathedral by the font
11.00 start of tour which includes the Upper Gallery areas, the triforium, the library the model and the geometric staircase, which are not open to the general public. *
12.15 stand up cold buffet lunch in the room above Temple Bar.
*This involves climbing stairs but a lift is available.
Although the visit formally ends after the lunch we are lucky with the date. If you wish you can then be readmitted to the cathedral where there happens to be a rehearsal of Bach’s St. John’s Passion from 1.45pm until 4.45pm. You can stay for the whole length of this or leave earlier if you wish.
There is a maximum of 20 people and acceptance will be on a strictly first come first served basis. There is a maximum of one guest per member.
The cost is £30.00 per person. This includes entry to the cathedral, the conducted tour and the buffet lunch. If you wish to stay for the Bach’s St. John’s passion this is at no extra cost.
