| Welcome to the official website of the Worshipful Company of Actuaries, a Livery Company of the City of London established in 1979 restricted to actuaries. We strongly support and promote our own profession, members of which are deeply involved in the Financial Services Industry not only in London but all over the world. | ||||||
| Like the medieval Liveries of the City of London, we play a full role in the governance of the City, including the election and support of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs. | ||||||
| Most importantly, through our Charitable Trust, we give help and support to those who are less fortunate than ourselves, with an emphasis on making a difference in improving education, particularly in the area of mathematics. | ||||||

At the Livery Dinner on 6 February the Master presented cheques from the Company of Actuaries Charitable Trust Fund to representatives of the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, the North London Hospice and St. Catherine’s Hospice, Crawley. In all cases liverymen are actively involved with these very worthwhile charities and they will ensure that the monies will be well used and that feedback is received. The amounts presented totalled £11,500; a further £14,000 has been pledged to two of these charities | ||||||

Livery Companies are an integral part of the government of the City of London. The Society of Young Freemen encourages knowledge of and interest in City affairs. Livery Companies provide support for disadvantaged children to attend London's schools through the Livery Schools Link. | ||||||
