Golfing programme for 2019

We are pleased to provide our proposed livery golf opportunities for 2019.

We have 16 events on the programme this year, in addition to our tour to the New Forest, all on fine courses.

Most events are golf days which normally involve:

  • morning golf
  • teams of 4 players
  • stableford scoring off full handicap with best two individual scores per hole to count towards a team score; plus, nearest pin, long drive
  • three course lunch

They are very convivial and the best two from four scoring at each allows all players, whatever their standard, to contribute and to enjoy the fun of playing for the team.

Tour to the New Forest – We have 20 golfers and 6 non-golfers signed up for our three-day visit to the New Forest – there is room for a couple more.

The Horners’ Match is usually 8 a side, playing as four 4 ball better ball matches

Master’s Day, at West Byfleet on 6th August is an afternoon round followed by dinner. There is an individual stableford competition, as well as a team event; guests are welcome. The Master is invited to join for dinner. Further information will be provided later.

Put your name down – volunteering to play

To help with planning, I would be grateful if you could let me know in which events you would like to play – either by a simple e-mail or by returning a marked-up version of the attached schedule. This allows me to allocate places as widely as possible early in the season. I am confident that I will be able to include everyone who volunteers in at least one event during the season.

There is always flexibility to withdraw, or to volunteer late, as we go through the season so please do register your interest even if your diary is not certain.

We are always delighted to welcome new members to our golf section so if you are interested in trying an event, please get in touch.

As the season progresses, I will provide more information on upcoming events and an update on spaces to fill.

If I can help with any additional information, please contact me
