The Masters’ Walk round the City of London in June raised over £30,000 for charity. As well as benefitting the Company of Actuaries Charitable Trust, the money raised will also be supporting the RAF 100 Appeal, Crisis and the Brain Tumour Charity (in memory of Past Master Goford).
Past Master Bridgeland (aka Honorary Group Captain Sally Bridgeland, pictured below) presented the first of the cheques to Maggie Appleton of the RAF Museum earlier this month. For anyone interested, the aeroplane in the background is a Short Sunderland flying boat patrol bomber.
It is planned to present the cheques to Crisis and the Brian Tumour Charity at January’s CACT Trustees’ meeting.
